ANNOUNCEMENTS
VECCA awarded two $1,000 scholarships in 2009 to graduating high school seniors. The music recipient was Michael Armstrong from Strasburg High School, and the art recipient was Cipriano Rosas from Stonewall Jackson High School.
VECCA scholarships are open to graduating home-school or public high school seniors who are continuing their education in art or music. Download the art and music application forms, then follow the directions to get your application in by the deadline. The 2010 applications will be posted by January 30, 2010.
VECCA is looking for the Membership and Publicity committee chairs, and an Advertising Coordinator. You do not have to be a VECCA board member to serve in any of these positions. Qualifications are an interest in serving on a service-oriented committee and helping bring the arts and our community together. Please help lead our organization as we grow and create opportunities for our community to pursue the arts. If you're interested, contact Doris Miller at 540-856-2687 for more information.
