Bernice McKay

Bernice McKay is a painter of traditional things with a contemporary flavor. Her subjects, derived from nature, are painted in a way that permits the viewer to share in the creative emotion and individual mood of the artist. Her distinctive style has been developed over many years of study and experimentation.

Mrs. McKay has exhibited and received many awards for her work in the New York and Long Island area, and is represented in private collections in Florida, California, Vermont, Texas, and Virginia.  She also is represented in France, and Brazil.

Bernice McKay is a past president of The Malverne Artists of Long Island and was on their board of advisors. She was a member of The Hudson Valley Art Association, The Catherine Lorilard Wolf Art Club, and the Art League of Nassau County. She is now a member of the National League of American Pen Women, and VECCA.
