Kathleen Keenan received a diploma in advertising
design and fashion illustration from Jamesine
Franklin School of Professional Art in New York
City. She also received a diploma, with honors,
in perspective, figure & portrait sketching,
painting in watercolor and fashion illustration
from the Washington School of Art in New York
City. She has studied watercolor in workshops
with Tony Couch and Jan Kunz.
As a professional
artist, Kathleen has worked for Conde Nast
Publications, Vogue Patterns, in New York and as
a fashion illustrator for Woodward & Lothrop of Washington, D.C. The Family Life Bureau
employed her as an illustrator. She has also
given private painting lessons.
Kathleen has had
four one-persons shows at "Americana"
in Rockville and five one-person shows at Mellon
Bank in Oakmont, Pa. Her paintings and works of
art are in many private collections throughout
the United States and Europe.
As presented in
her work, she enjoys painting buildings, people,
and the countryside of Virginia. Her work may be
seen at North Mountain Vineyard in Maurertown, 7-East
Art Gallery and Woodstock Cafe and Shoppes in
Woodstock, and The Art Group in Mt. Jackson, Va.
